Activities of the Norwegian Space Center are reported for the following areas: telecommunication--including the building of two Norsat B stations to handle Eutelsat traffic, demonstration of TSAT data transmission system, and preparations for PSDE (Payload and Spacecraft Development and Experimentation); involvement in the Columbus Space Station program and microgravity activities; involvement in space transportation within ESA's launcher Ariane 5; involvement in Earth observation and the ERS-1 satellite; and the Auroral Imaging Observatory (Aurio), the Northern Satellite Service (NSS) (launching small satellites from Andoya), and the PULSUR and RONALD (planned within TURBO), space research projects. Reports on the Andoya rocket range and Tromso satellite station are given. Results produced from space activities are outlined. Progress within ESA by Norwegian industry are discussed. The board of directors report and key figures from annual accounts are presented.
