The H-II launch vehicle is now under development to build Japan's main space transportation system in the 1990's in accordance with the demand for larger satellite or space ship launches at low cost and high reliability. The technical subjects and development test results for the main structures, the first and second stage propulsion systems and the inertial guidance system of the H-II launch vehicle are described.
