The invention relates to providing trailing vortex wake attenuation for a large, multi-engine aircraft. It relates to deploying, throughout a landing approach, selected segments of flight spoilers mounted upon the upper, rearward surfaces of the wings of a large, multi-engine aircraft to thereby disrupt the generation of hazardous trailing vortex wakes.
