A large sample of deaf drivers were compared to a random sample of normal drivers on a number of variables. Deaf drivers - both males and females - were found to have significantly more convictions and accidents than non-deaf drivers. However, the groups differed on a number of co-variables, such as mileage, which rendered interpretation difficult.
