In preparation for the Spacelab D-1 mission, European experimenters have been provided with parabolic flight opportunities on NASA's KC-135. In addition to the scheduled tests of D-1 experiments a number of fluid physics demonstrations could be accommodated. Among these off-line experiments were some that investigated the release and handling of free-floating liquid drops. The interaction of a drop with a solid shape of comparable mass has been filmed.
