Using distributed translating, pulsating sources and a three dimensional panel technique the heave, pitch, sway and yaw hydrodynamic coefficients of a moving, oscillating ellipsoid are evaluated. The ellipsoid has a length to beam ratio of 8, a circular amidship cross-section and is half immersed in the free surface.
Steady state flow contributions are included in the analysis and the influence of this and forward speed on the values of the coefficients are discussed.
