The left-handed metamaterials have the negative permittivity ¿ and permeability, ¿ simultaneously. These provide the left-handed metamaterials with various new properties in comparison with the traditional right-handed (RH) materials. Many applications for the left-handed metamaterials are possible. A new type of the microstrip resonant antenna with small physical size will be presented using Composite Right/Left-Handed (CRLH) transmission lines (TL). The antennas are implemented by the series microstrip unit cells. The verifications are done by the detailed simulations. Two Zero Order (ZOR) CRLH antennas were designed that operate at 2.4 GHz and 915 MHz. The antenna at 915-MHz is also experimentally processed and tested for RFID applications.
