In the modernized world, technologies are emerging in all the fields including agriculture. In the base of agricultural domain, practicing the traditional methods consumes large manpower, time and energy. Usage of outdated irrigation techniques has led to water crisis in our country. For evolution in the field of agriculture, automation is the order of the day for its development. In this competitive world, to reinstate the position, farming needs to be advanced with automated irrigation systems on the basis of Internet of Things (loT). The automated Irrigation system is much more progressive using wireless transmission network. LoRa is a Long- Ranged transceiver that has a better data transfer rate, low power consumption, long running capability and long range of coverage which helps in achieving precise automation. This paper focuses on using Arduino micro controller, sensorial data along with the LoRa module to construct a smart system for irrigation. Sensors collect soil data and send it through the LoRa gateway to a microcontroller based on which irrigation is performed precisely.
