To smooth the fluctuation and intermittency of traction grid in urban rail transit system, various energy feedback units and energy storage are placed. Accompanied by the popularity of electric vehicles and different means of electric transportation, electric vehicles consist of a key battery storage part in urban rail transit. In this study, a novel architecture integrating vehicle-to-grid (V2G) with urban rail transit is put forward, which absorbs braking energy nearby. By applying power electronics transformer (PET) on the V2G converter which has higher security and smaller volume, multi power flows are allowed and power supply is more flexible.
