This paper proposes a boost-voltage motor driver with a low-capacitance charge-pump circuit. To deal with considerably changing boost-voltage, a voltage control method based on the space vector modulation technique is proposed. The experiments under repetitive acceleration and deceleration drive operation confirm that the driver can perform well. Furthermore, the proposed driver is verified to have higher drive efficiencies than the conventional driver.
