In the current research, a method of controlling downstream flow by bypass periodic pressure fluctuation is presented and a DDES simulation was used to explore the effects of phase difference, pressure amplitude and frequency on downstream oscillation suppression. Meanwhile, the flow loss and mixing characteristics under the different periodic fluctuations are compared. It can be derived from the result that the large and inverse-phase bypass fluctuation not only can the downstream pressure oscillation be reduced, but also the mixing effect can be improved due to the fast diffusion of the vortex core in the jet shear layer.
