This paper considers a two-way ATIS mechanism, that is, travelers can not only accept traffic information sent by ATIS, but also can send their actual situations or experiences to ATIS for reference to other travelers in ATIS system, while in traditional ATIS systems, travelers can only passively accept information and fail to give feedback. This interaction mechanism is suitable for the current era in which network and information develop rapidly. A traveler route choice model is established based on a two-way ATIS system under uncertain travel time reliability, and a renewal mechanism of route selection strategy is given. The dynamic changes of traveler route selection and the evolution of road network traffic are analyzed and deduced by analytic method. Further analyze the properties of the model, that is, the sufficient and necessary conditions for the solution of the model. An illustration is used to verify the rationality and feasibility of the model. Some behavior characteristics of traveler route selection and the properties of the model are analyzed and verified.
