A microwave radar using spread spectrum techniques for vehicles has been developed in the K-band (24 GHz). This radar senses the sides and rear of a vehicle which is changing lanes or reversing while parking. This radar measures the distance, velocity and magnitude of received signals from each target. The paper discusses the methods and experimental results.
