Cross-channel is common in the sea and inland rivers. Although there are more detailed navigation rules, the accidents of ships collision in the cross-channel waters are still increasing year by year. In order to ensure the safe navigation of ships in the cross-channel, it is necessary to establish the calculation model of ship collision risk in the cross-channel and evaluate its collision risk. This paper draws on the Event collision risk assessment model in aviation and forms an applicable ship domain model according to the characteristics of ship navigation. Monte Carlo method and Matlab software are used to study the risks of ships passing at the intersection of waterways, and specific countermeasures to control the navigation safety of the cross waterways are put forward.
