The present study investigates the influence of hybridisation on energy consumption. Computer micro simulation modeling is used to determine the performance and fuel consumption of Toyota Prius vehicle. In this work, we have developed a micro-simulation tool which integrates microscopic models of energy consumption. First, we start by modeling microscopic behavior of vehicles where we use two microscopic models: the linear model for longitudinal moving and MOBIL (Minimizing Overall Braking Induced by Lane Changes) for lateral displacement in order to generate a real driving cycle which respects microscopic models rules. Then we implement two energy-consumption models which calculate energy consumption of the HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) Toyota Prius vehicle and classical vehicle. The principal purposes are studying the hybridization's effects on fuel consumption for a real driving cycle.
