We demonstrate all optical wavelength conversion using four wave mixing phenomenon (FWM) in a simple silicon photonic wire waveguide. The conversion experiments were performed in a pulse operation with 10Gbps NRZ signal. The conversion efficiency is about -34 dB for a 5.8-cm-long silicon wire waveguide, and converted pulses were clearly observed in time domain experiments.
