In this paper, the authors develop a system for exchanging and managing information about events on the road by considering in particular the spatial aspect of events such as traffic jam. Information on events being usually imperfect, belief functions are used to create messages representing the available information, to combine several pieces of information received and to give an overview of the situation to the driver. The proposed method has been implemented and tested.
