Embedded Training System (ETS), which can train a pilot with virtual combat environment, is necessary for nowadays military aircraft. ETS increases effectiveness of virtual training and decreases the risk of real flight training. ETS consists of several modules: simulation management, ownship simulation (sensors, weapons, electronic warfare), virtual world simulation, simulation data link, scenario generation, and debriefing. Although the conventional ETS has been designed well, it still leaves room for improvement in terms of cost. In this paper, the author proposes an efficient architecture for implementing low-cost ETS. In the proposed architecture, the conventional data link unit is reused for function of simulation data link. Also, the generated video signals such as sensors and weapons are transmitted from video synthesis module using internal network in mission computer. Therefore, it leads to achieve low-cost ETS because the data link module and graphic module for embedded training are not required.
