The ATO has been widely used for vehicle control in urban rail transit. In practical application of an ATO speed controller, it is found that a PID controlling process, due to the limitation of the PID algorithm, has an unstable output of control values, which affects operation efficiency between stations, consumes extra energy, and affects passenger riding experience. Based on the PID control algorithm, this paper puts forward a scheme of optimization from two perspectives, that is, optimizing the target profile and optimizing the control algorithm, and improves the PID algorithm to achieve the goal of stable and comfortable operation and energy saving [1].
