A practical approach to identify potential human factor issues in the HMI design of flight deck has been proposed by integrating task analysis, human error analysis and human factor evaluation methods. It could be used in the early design stage to help identifying compliance risks. The proposed method has proven to be valuable in identifying potential human error issues during the development of flight deck. By effectively assessing and addressing these issues, the method helps to ensure compliance with Human Factor related regulatory requirements, thereby reducing the overall compliance risk associated with flight deck design.
