The first part of this work presents a review of literature on traceability management systems in order to determine weaknesses and identify the different research areas. In this regard, it is worth noting that a few number of works have been done on traceability systems dedicated to transportation. There is also a lack of works dealing with the hazardous products transportation. Consequently, the development of a new system is clearly of interest and would represent a fertile area for research. We also note from the literature, the integration of quality control aspects in the model of traceability management which gives the idea to integrate risk management in the proposed system. The second will be devoted to a brief description of the proposed system.
