With the development of green shipping, the demand for control and treatment of ship exhaust emissions is gradually upgraded. The implementation of Tier III of MAPOLE Convention has put forward higher requirements for NOx emission reduction. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) is one of the most widely used technologies for denitrification of Marine exhaust gas, which has important research significance. In this paper, the influence of the distance between urea nozzle and catalytic converter on the mixing uniformity of exhaust gas and urea water was studied. A catalytic reactor model was established to simulate the uniformity of urea solution at the end of catalytic converter with different distance of urea nozzle. A test bench of SCR system was built (the diesel engine used was 4135Ca type) to verify the simulation results. And combined with the actual engineering application, the optimal distance between urea and catalytic converter was determined as 5D(D is the diameter of the air inlet pipe).
