With the development of complex intelligent transport systems, information sources define heterogeneity of transport processes data, cause heterogeneity of hardware and software platforms; which greatly reduces the efficiency and relevance of the data and decision-making process. That determines systematicity and actuality of the development of detailed models and transport process management technologies using the network-centric principles. That models and technologies make it possible to compensate the heterogeneity of information space. The paper objective was to increase the efficiency of transport process management through the development of detailed geospatial models of transport infrastructure and process management technologies that provided multi-level interaction between pluralities of intelligent transport subsystems. Domain data was decomposed basing on the principles of uniformity inherent properties of objects classes, taking into account attribute, topological, functional components. A multi-layer architecture of transport process management system based on geographic information system using electronic map of urban territory are described. Algorithms and software based on detailed models and technologies of distributed geographic information systems are developed. The results of intelligent transport system software development were used in traffic organization works in the cities of Surgut, Trehgornyi and Oktyabrsk (Russia). The using of detailed models, geographic information system, and network-centric technologies was reasonable due to their effectiveness in the synthesis of control systems.
