The unique microgravity environment of the International Space Station (ISS) poses dangers to crew and equipment that are not present here on Earth. This paper reviews these hazards, and outlines the methodology followed to assess the electrical and EMC risks present within the ISS and inherent in the experiments uploaded to the Station, and identifies the means to control critical and catastrophic hazards.
