At present, there are many researches on stealth aircraft and stealth warships, but there is a lack of relevant research on the stealth design of infantry fighting vehicles. With reference to the successful design cases of stealth aircraft and stealth ships, the method of shape stealth design is summarized. In addition based on this method, a simplified model of an infantry fighting vehicle with different surface transition methods is established. CST, a professional electromagnetic simulation software, is used to simulate its stealth performance. The simulation results show that there are many strong scattering sources in the circumferential direction of the model, and the surface transition method of the car body model and the polarization method used in the simulation have an impact on its stealth performance. Adopting the smooth transition method can significantly reduce the model’s maximum RCS in the 90° direction and improve its stealth performance.
