Summary form only given. Non-steady-state photo-EMF induced by the oscillating interference pattern in the volume of the photoconducting sample is intensively investigated now due to its promising applications for adaptive detection of the optical phase modulated signals. Below we present original experimental results on photo-EMF effect in semi-insulating CdTe in the frequency range of fundamental optical absorption.
