Next-Generation Train Control System(NTCS) based on vehicle-to-vehicle communication is a train control system designed for remote areas in western China. Compared with the traditional train control system, the Next-Generation Train Control System enhances the software functions of on-board equipment, making software scale of the system extremely huge. Thus, the distance-to-go curve of Next-Generation Train Control System on-board equipment has the characteristics of large parameter input domain, complex fault models, and complicated combinations of various parameters and fault modes, which make it difficult to be complete tested. In this paper, a method of complete test suite generation technology based on one of the combination strategies, In Parameter Order General(IPOG), has been introduced to test the NTCS on-board equipment speed monitoring function. We firstly build the combinatorial testing model of Next-Generation Train Control System, according to the system requirement specification of Next-Generation Train Control System. Based on the basic testing model, IPOG is applied to obtain the test suites under different coverage criteria. Finally, in the same testing scenario, the fault-detection ability of IPOG combinatorial strategy and random strategy is been compared.
