The aim of this paper is to introduce a traffic management system for urban areas that dynamically adapts to optimize the flow of vehicles. By employing adaptive methods, the system effectively utilizes real-time traffic information and accurate object detection to anticipate congestion and automatically modifies traffic signals. This proactive approach minimizes delays and enhances the overall efficiency of traffic. In this study, we present an adaptive control algorithm designed to flexibly modify the timings of traffic signals in response to the prevailing traffic conditions. By subjecting our system to simulated traffic scenarios, we observed substantial reductions in travel time and delays compared to conventional fixed -time signal control methods. We also conducted a sensitivity analysis by SUMO Simulator to demonstrate the algorithm's effectiveness in various traffic conditions, confirming its suitability across a wide range of scenarios. The proposed system holds promise to reduce the congestion, for enhancing traffic flow, and delivering economic and environmental advantages in urban areas.
