With the advance of Agriculture 4.0, the implements electrification is rising. Besides the traction, there are several actuators and motors that must be electrified in an agriculture implement, such as hydraulic and pneumatic motors/actuators. The Switched Reluctance Machine (SRM) has great potential in such an application because of its intrinsic characteristics. This paper proposes a position control method for SRM applied for agriculture implements electrification. In order to accurately control the position, a current profiling technique through torque sharing functions is employed. The SRM model is developed, enabling the controllers' design. The proposed control is tested under two different types of loads in simulation and experiment. The first one emulates a container hatch level, and the other tested load is an agricultural sprayer. The simulation results were conducted to verify the proposed controller's robustness to parameter variation and capability of load disturbance rejection. The experimental results show that the proposed position control has no steady-state error, and 0.28% overshoot, being suitable for the proposed application.
