A compact tracking mirror used in the dual-band infrared remote sensing system to track the remote mobile objects was developed. The tracking mirror consists of a plane mirror and a 2D rotation stage for the purpose of locating the target at the center of the field of Infrared camera view. Considering the lightweight and high positioning accuracy, AC servo actuators that integrate thin speed harmonic drive reducer and the corresponding drivers were applied. To validate its feasibility, the simulations and actual experiments were carried out.
