The theory of THz-wave generation (3.29 THz) via difference frequency generation (DFG) of near infrared radiations (1318.8 nm and 1338.2 nm) by a simultaneous dual-wavelength lasing (SDWL) of an Nd: YAG laser in slant-stripe-type MgO-doped periodically poled lithium niobate (MgO:PPLN) was presented. It is shown that the slant-stripe-type MgO:PPLN is capable of realizing the quasi-phase-matching in two perpendicular direction of optical and THz-wave propagation.
