Joint Communication & Sensing is a concept where communication signals are reused for wireless sensing, i.e. detecting and locating moving objects. With increasing wireless connectivity and the proliferation of fixed wideband wireless devices, wireless sensing is becoming practical in urban road traffic. Thus, wireless sensing can support or replace infrastructure-based perception systems such as cameras or radar. In this paper, we propose an architecture in which passive coherent localization is supported by spatial information of static multipath components induced by moving objects. Based on wideband measurements, we show that incorporating spatial information from static MPCs improves the performance of state-of-the-art perception algorithms in terms of robustness and accuracy.
