This paper proposes two methods to promote tourism use of “Misato Aiai Taxi,” a demand transportation system operated in Aizumisato Town, Fukushima Prefecture: “hybrid operation both conventional demand transportation and scheduled transportation,” which is compatible with Google Map route search, and “posting times and routes using virtual stops”. A study is being conducted using the SUMO microscopic traffic simulator to determine how these two proposed methods affect current operations. The results show that the proposed method can operate on time without any problems, although the waiting time for passengers increases compared to the current method. The average maximum number of passengers that can be picked up and dropped off within 30 minutes is 12.3, which means that the system can operate with an increase of about 4 passengers compared to the current maximum number of 8 passengers during the busiest period within 30 minutes.
