Aircraft Generator is the core part in aircraft power supply system, and its internal fault can lead to the stator winding asymmetry. Even worse, the asymmetry output power created by the asymmetry winding can damage the aircraft electrical equipment, so it is significant to study the internal electrical fault of aircraft generator. And the study can provide reference for maintenance decision. In this paper, several kinds of inter-turn short faults and inter-phase short faults are simulated based on the multi loop theory. Then, the aircraft generator fault test system which including motor, inverter and other equipment is built. At the same time, the internal fault experiments are done, experiment data of phase voltage and harmonic are analyzed. The simulation and parameter test results show that with the short turn number becomes bigger, the output voltage becomes smaller and the waveform distortion becomes much more serious. Inter-phase short is generally much more serious than turn short in voltage and waveform distortion. And fault stator voltage have much more odd number harmonics.
