Disclosed is an air conditioner for a vehicle having a door sealing mechanism which is improved to reduce an operation noise of a door, prevent manufacturing costs from being increased, and reduce the number of assembly processes. The air conditioner for a vehicle comprises: a case having an air flow passage; one or more heat exchangers provided to the air flow passage to exchange heat with air passing the air flow passage; and a door controlling an opening degree of the air flow passage. Sizes of both side opening units of the air flow passage opened and closed by the door are formed to be different. The door is formed to correspond to the larger opening unit, and a partial gap is formed between the door and the case in the smaller opening unit. An additional sealing unit corresponding to the gap is formed in the smaller opening unit.

    도어의 작동 소음을 감소시키고 제조 원가를 상승시키지 않으면서 조립공수를 줄일 수 있도록 개선된 도어 씰링 메커니즘을 갖는 차량용 공조장치가 개시된다. 차량용 공조장치는 내부에 공기유로가 형성된 케이스와, 상기 공기유로에 구비되어 이를 통과하는 공기와 열교환하는 하나 이상의 열교환기와, 상기 공기유로의 개도를 조절하는 도어를 포함하는 차량용 공조장치에 있어서, 상기 도어가 개폐하는 공기유로의 양측 개구부의 크기가 다르게 형성되고, 상기 도어는 크기가 큰 쪽의 개구부에 대응되게 형성하되, 크기가 작은 쪽의 개구부에는 도어와 케이스 사이에 일부 갭을 형성하며, 상기 갭에 대응하는 추가 씰링부를 형성한다.
