The present invention relates to an unmanned aerial vehicle that performs robust flight both indoors and outdoors, and a method for controlling the same. According to the present invention, the unmanned aerial vehicle comprises: a main body; a sensor provided in the main body; a plurality of motors for providing power to the main body to perform at least one of a horizontal movement and a vertical movement; and a processor for controlling at least one of the plurality of motors based on sensing information received from the sensor.
