The present invention relates to a battery thermal management control apparatus for an electric vehicle using a variable flow rate and a control method therefor, comprising: a heating medium line which is formed in a closed-loop form and allows a heating medium to flow through a battery; a pump disposed in the heating medium line to flow the heating medium; a heating unit disposed on the heating medium line to increase a temperature of the heating medium; and a controller for operating a pump by receiving the temperature of the battery. The controller controls the pump according to the temperature of the battery to vary a flow rate of the heating medium. The present invention provides the battery thermal management control apparatus for the electric vehicle using the variable flow rate which provides an optimal flow rate of the heating medium heated according to the temperature of the battery of the electric vehicle, and the method therefor.

    본 발명은 가변유량을 이용한 전기자동차용 배터리 열관리 제어장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 폐루프 형태로 형성되어 배터리를 경유하며 열매체가 유동할 수 있는 열매체 라인, 상기 열매체 라인에 배치되어 상기 열매체를 유동 시키는 펌프, 상기 열매체 라인에 배치되어 상기 열매체의 온도를 높이는 히팅부 및 상기 배터리의 온도를 전달받아 상기 펌프를 작동시키는 컨트롤러를 포함한다. 상기 컨트롤러는 상기 배터리의 온도에 따라 상기 펌프를 제어하여 상기 열매체의 유량을 달리한다.
