Disclosed is a charging system having a multi-converter, which comprises: a power factor compensation circuit for compensating for a power factor of an input AC power, and outputting the same as DC power; a first converter unit for converting the magnitude of a DC output voltage of the power factor compensation circuit, and applying the same to a battery; and a second converter unit connected in parallel with the first converter unit between the power factor compensation circuit and the battery, and converting the magnitude of the DC output voltage of the power factor compensation circuit to apply the same to the battery. According to the present invention, output currents of the first and second converter units are provided as a charging current of the battery, and gains of input and output voltages of the first converter unit are constantly operated. An output voltage of the second converter unit can be adjusted based on an output voltage of the power factor compensation circuit. Accordingly, the durability of the battery can be improved.

    입력되는 교류 전력의 역률을 보상하여 직류 전력으로 출력하는 역률 보상 회로; 상기 역률 보상 회로의 직류 출력 전압의 크기를 변환하여 배터리로 인가하는 제1 컨버터부; 및 상기 역률 보상 회로와 상기 배터리 사이에 상기 제1 컨버터부와 병렬 관계로 연결되며, 상기 역률 보상 회로의 직류 출력 전압의 크기를 변환하여 배터리로 인가하는 제2 컨버터부를 포함하는 다중 컨버터를 구비한 충전 시스템이 개시된다. 상기 제1 컨버터부의 출력 전류와 상기 제2 컨버터부의 출력 전류는 배터리의 충전 전류로 제공되고, 상기 제1 컨버터부는 그의 입력 전압과 출력 전압의 이득이 일정하게 동작하고, 상기 제2 컨버터부는 그의 출력 전압이 상기 역률 보상 회로의 출력 전압에 기반하여 조정될 수 있다.
