According to one embodiment of the present invention, a device for displaying a drivable distance of an electric vehicle comprises: a detection unit detecting state information of a vehicle; and a control unit estimating a weight of the vehicle based on the state information of the vehicle and determining whether the drivable distance is updated based on the estimated weight. The present invention can reflect state that the weight of the vehicle is increased to update the drivable distance and provide the drivable distance with improved accuracy to a driver even in the state that the weight of the vehicle is changed.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전기차 주행 가능 거리 표시 장치는 차량의 상태 정보를 검출하는 검출부 및 상기 차량의 상태 정보를 기반으로 차량의 중량을 추정하고, 추정된 중량을 기반으로 주행 가능 거리의 업데이트 수행 여부를 판단하는 제어부를 포함하여, 차량의 중량이 증가된 상태를 반영하여 주행 가능 거리가 업데이트 되도록 할 수 있고, 운전자에게 차량의 중량이 변화된 상태에서도 정확도가 향상된 주행 가능 거리를 제공할 수 있다.
