According to one embodiment of the present invention, a propulsion apparatus includes: a pod main body (11) having a rotation motor therein; a propeller (12) rotated by being connected to the rotation motor; and a resistance reducing part (60) formed on the pod main body (11) and reducing resistance caused by seawater when the pod main body (11) is rotated. The resistance reducing part (60) includes: a flow path (40) penetrating the pod main body (11); and a flow path opening and closing part (50) opening and closing the flow path.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 추진 장치는 내부에 회전 모터를 가지는 포드 본체(11), 상기 회전 모터와 연결되어 회전하는 프로펠러(12), 그리고 상기 포드 본체(11)에 형성되며 상기 포드 본체(11)가 회전하는 경우 해수에 의한 저항을 저감하는 저항 저감부(60)를 포함하고, 상기 저항 저감부(60)는 상기 포드 본체(11)의 내부를 관통하는 유로(40), 그리고 상기 유로를 개폐하는 유로 개폐부(50)를 포함한다.
