An objective of the present invention is to provide a charging control apparatus for a vehicle capable of responding to an emergency or safety management of a vehicle when an internal combustion engine is driven to generate power by a generator during external charging. The charging control apparatus for a vehicle (100) configured to control charging for a power storage device (7) comprises: a user detection device (41) to detect whether a user exists within a prescribed range with respect to the vehicle (100); and a vehicle electronic control unit (ECU) configured to use power generated by the generator in addition to power from the outside of the vehicle to charge the power storage device (7) during external charging if the existence of a user within the prescribed range is detected by the user detection device (41), and prevent power generation from being performed by the generator during external charging when it is detected that a user does not exist within the prescribed range by the user detection device (41).

    축전 장치 (7) 에 대한 충전을 제어하도록 구성된, 차량 (100) 의 충전 제어 장치는, 상기 차량 (100) 에 대해 사용자가 소정 범위 내에 존재하는지의 여부를 검출하는 사용자 검출 장치 (41) 를 갖고 있고, 상기 사용자 검출 장치 (41) 에 의해 상기 소정 범위 내에 사용자가 존재하는 것으로 검출된 경우에는, 외부 충전 중에 차량 외부로부터의 전력에 더하여 상기 발전기에 의해 발전된 전력도 사용하여 상기 축전 장치 (7) 를 충전 가능하게 하고, 상기 사용자 검출 장치 (41) 에 의해 상기 소정 범위 내에 사용자가 존재하지 않는 것으로 검출된 경우에는, 외부 충전 중에 상기 발전기에 의해 발전을 실시하지 않도록 구성된 차량 ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 를 구비한다.
