Provided are a vehicle and a control method thereof, which can predict a collision to spray a material to absorb an impact and increase bonding strength of the attached portion to a location at which the collision is predicted. To this end, the vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a detection unit which measures a relative location and a relative speed between an obstacle and the vehicle; a spray device which sprays a deformation material which is solidified after being sprayed to absorb an impact in order to increase bonding strength at the attached portion; and a control unit which determines possibility of collision against the obstacle based on the measured relative location and the measured relative speed, determines a collision prediction location when the possibility of collision exists, determines the spray direction of the spray device based on the collision prediction location, and controls the spray device such that the deformation material may be sprayed in the determined spray direction.

    충돌을 예측하고, 충돌이 예측되는 위치에 충격을 흡수하고 부착된 부분의 결합 강도를 높이는 물질을 분사하는 차량 및 그 제어방법을 제공한다. 일 실시예에 따른 차량은, 장애물과 차량 사이의 상대 위치 및 상대 속도를 측정하는 감지부; 분사 시 고체화되어 충격을 흡수하고 부착된 부분의 결합 강도를 높이는 변형 물질을 분사하는 분사 장치; 및 상기 측정된 상대 위치 및 상기 측정된 상대 속도에 기초하여 상기 장애물과의 충돌 가능성을 판단하고, 상기 충돌 가능성이 존재하는 경우 충돌 예상 위치를 판단하고, 상기 충돌 예상 위치에 기초하여 상기 분사 장치의 분사 방향을 결정하고, 결정된 분사 방향으로 상기 변형 물질을 분사하도록 상기 분사 장치를 제어하는 제어부;를 포함한다.
