The present invention relates to a deformation prevention member of a tube unit of a universal joint of a steering apparatus and a deformation prevention method using the same. The tube unit (10) has a yoke unit. The universal joint is applied to a vehicle steering apparatus which has a shaft unit (20) which is elastically coupled to the inner periphery of the tube unit (10) in an axial line direction. The deformation prevention member (100) has an adhesion fitting through-hole (110) formed and extended in a longitudinal direction to correspond to the shape of the outer periphery of the tube unit in order to have the tube unit (10) fitted and coupled to the outer periphery. The deformation prevention member (100) has a predetermined thickness (T) from a surface of the inner periphery of the adhesion fitting through-hole (100) to a part orthogonal to a surface of the outer periphery and prevents deformation of the tube unit (10) and minimizes a deformation rate thereof with reference to the axial line in a carburizing heat treatment process. The deformation prevention member (100) is used to treat the shaft unit (20) and the inner periphery of the tube unit (10) of the universal joint of the steering apparatus through a first preparation step (S100), a second preparation step (S200), a deformation prevention pretreatment step (S300), and a heat treatment step (S400), thereby ensuring hardness and core part hardness thereof in accordance with the carburizing heat treatment. The present invention also can prevent and minimize the deformation of the tube unit (10) in order to manufacture a high-quality tube unit (10) without twists. Accordingly, the present invention enables manufacturing of products capable of ensuring required mechanical strength and durability and reduce the manufacturing processes, time, and cost of heat treatment products as well as reducing maintenance cost by enabling reuse.

    본 발명은 조향장치용 유니버셜조인트의 튜브유닛 변형방지부재와 이를 이용한 변형방지방법은 요크부를 형성한 튜브유닛(10)과, 상기 튜브유닛(10) 내주연의 축선 방향으로 신축가능하게 결합되는 샤프트유닛(20)이 형성된 차량 조향장치에 적용되는 조향장치용 유니버셜조인트의 상기 튜브유닛(10) 외주연에 끼움결합되도록 상기 튜브유닛 외주연 형상에 대응되게 밀착끼움통공(110)이 형성되어 길이방향으로 길게 형성되고, 상기 밀착끼움통공(110) 내주연 일면으로부터 외주연 일면에 직교되는 부분까지의 일정두께(T)로 형성되어 침탄 열처리과정에서 상기 튜브유닛(10)이 축선상 기준에서 변형률이 최소로 방지되는 변형방지부재(100);를 이용하여 제1준비단계(S100)-제2준비단계(S200)-변형방지 전처리단계(S300), 열처리단계(S400)를 통해 조향장치용 유니버셜조인트의 튜브유닛(10) 내주연 및 샤프트유닛(20)에 침탄 열처리에 따른 경도 및 심부경도를 가지도록 처리하고, 이와 함께 튜브유닛(10)의 변형방지를 최소화가 가능하여 뒤틀림 없는 높은 품질의 튜브유닛의 생산이 가능함에 따라 요구되는 기계적 강도 및 내구성 부여가 가능한 제품 제작이 가능하며, 열처리 제품의 제작공정 단축 및 생산시간, 생산비용이 절감될 수 있으며, 재사용이 가능하여 유지비용이 절감되는 조향장치용 유니버셜조인트의 튜브유닛 변형방지부재와 이를 이용한 변형방지방법에 관한 것이다.
