The control method of an air conditioner for a vehicle of the present invention comprises: a step (S10) of purifying (S10); a step (S20) of determining whether to clean or not; and a step (S30) of cleaning. The present invention can purify the air flowing into the air conditioning case (300), sterilize the evaporator (410) and remove odor, and clean the catalyst unit (120) to continuously provide satisfactory performance of sterilization and deodorization. More specifically, in the step (S10) of purifying, a photocatalyst unit (100), which comprises: an LED (111) for irradiating an ultraviolet light; and a catalyst unit (120) for making a photocatalyst reaction by the irradiated light to generate a hyperoxic radical, and a wind blowing unit (200) are operated. In the step (S20) of determining whether to clean or not, when the LED (111) of the photocatalyst unit (100) is turned off, it is determined if it is needed to remove foreign substances from the photocatalyst unit (100). In the step (S30) of cleaning, when it is determined that it is needed to remove foreign substances from the catalyst unit (120) in the step (S20) of determining whether to clean or not, the wind blowing unit (200) is operated for a preset time. That is, the control method of an air conditioner for a vehicle of the present invention, when it is determined that it is needed to remove foreign substances from the catalyst unit (120), forcibly blows air through the wind blowing unit (200) to clean. Thus, the air purifying effect of the photocatalyst unit (100) is continuously performed. Specifically, the present invention purifies the air flowing into the air conditioning case (300), sterilizes and deodorizes the evaporator (410), and cleans the catalyst unit (120) to provide the continuous sterilization and deodorization performance.

    본 발명의 차량용 공조장치 제어 방법은 정화 단계(S10); 청소 여부 판단 단계(S20) 및 청소 단계(S30)를 포함하여 공조케이스(300)의 내부로 유입되는 공기를 정화함과 더불어 증발기(410)를 살균 및 탈취하며, 촉매부(120)를 청소함으로써 살균 및 탈취 성능을 지속적으로 유지할 수 있다. 더욱 상세하게, 상기 정화 단계(S10)는 자외선(UV) 광을 조사하는 LED(111)와, 조사되는 광에 의해 광 촉매 반응을 일으켜 과산소 라디칼을 발생시키는 촉매부(120)를 포함하는 광촉매 장치(100) 및 송풍부(200)가 작동되며, 상기 청소 여부 판단 단계(S20)는 상기 광촉매 장치(100)의 LED(111)가 오프되면, 광촉매 장치(100)의 이물질 제거가 필요한지 판단하고, 상기 청소 단계(S30)는 상기 청소 여부 판단 단계(S20)에서 촉매부(120)의 이물질 제거가 필요하다고 판단되면, 송풍부(200)를 설정시간 동안 작동한다. 즉, 본 발명의 차량용 공조장치 제어 방법은 촉매부(120)의 이물질 제거가 필요하다고 판단되면 송풍부(200)를 통해 공기를 강제 송풍하여 청소를 수행함으로써 지속적으로 광촉매 장치(100)의 공기 정화 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 특히, 본 발명은 공조케이스(300)의 내부로 유입되는 공기를 정화함과 더불어 증발기(410)를 살균 및 탈취하며, 촉매부(120)를 청소함으로써 살균 및 탈취 성능을 지속적으로 유지할 수 있다.
