The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing hybrid propulsion for a floating structure, and more specifically, to a system and a method for providing hybrid propulsion for a floating structure which can relatively reduce initial installation costs and maintenance and repair costs, relatively improve system efficiency and fuel consumption efficiency, and enhance flexibility in propulsion system operation by using a dual fuel diesel electric (DFDE) propulsion device and an MAN electronic-gas injection (ME-GI) engine individually or collectively in a propulsion system. According to the present invention, the system for providing propulsion for a floating structure comprises: a DFDE propulsion device to use oil and gas as fuel to generate a drive force required for propulsion; an ME-GI engine to use the oil and the gas as fuel to generate a drive force required for propulsion; a gear box to transfer the drive force of the DFDE propulsion device and the ME-GI engine to a propeller; and a propulsion selection unit to select any one or both of the DFDE propulsion device and the ME-GI engine for propulsion.

    본 발명은 부유식 구조물의 하이브리드 추진 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 구체적으로는 초기 설치 비용과 유지 및 보수 비용을 상대적으로 낮출 수 있고, 시스템 효율 및 연료 소비 효율을 상대적으로 높일 수 있으며, 추진 시스템에서 DFDE 추진장치와 ME-GI 엔진의 개별 사용 또는 혼용으로 인해 추진 시스템 운영의 유연성을 증가시킬 수 있는 부유식 구조물의 하이브리드 추진 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 부유식 구조물의 추진 시스템에 있어서, 오일과 가스를 연료로 사용하여 추진에 필요한 구동력을 발생시키는 DFDE(Dual Fuel Diesel Electric) 추진장치; 오일과 가스를 연료로 사용하여 추진에 필요한 구동력을 발생시키는 ME-GI 엔진(MAN Electronic-Gas Injection engine); 상기 DFDE 추진장치와 상기 ME-GI 엔진의 구동력을 프로펠러에 전달하는 기어박스; 및 상기 DFDE 추진장치와 상기 ME-GI 엔진 중에서 어느 하나 또는 모두를 추진에 사용하도록 하는 추진원선택부;를 포함한다.
