Disclosed are a multi image-based obstacle avoidance system, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment, the multi image-based obstacle avoidance system comprises: a remotely piloted vehicle operating unit operating a remotely piloted vehicle in accordance to an operation mode; a depth map generating unit generating a depth map using a multi image photographed by a multi camera installed in a remotely piloted vehicle; an obstacle detecting unit detecting an obstacle by analyzing the depth map; and a collision avoidance processing unit generating an aiming point to avoid an obstacle when the obstacle is detected by the obstacle detecting unit, and changing an operation mode from a navigation mode wherein the remotely piloted vehicle moves to a target point to a first collision avoidance mode in which the remotely piloted vehicle moves towards the aiming point.

    다중 영상 기반 장애물 회피 시스템 및 방법이 개시된다. 일 실시예에 따른 다중 영상 기반 장애물 회피 시스템은, 동작 모드에 따라 무인기를 기동시키는 무인기 기동부; 상기 무인기에 설치된 다중 카메라에서 촬영한 다중 영상으로부터 깊이 지도(depth map)을 생성하는 깊이 지도 생성부; 상기 깊이 지도를 분석하여 장애물을 탐지하는 장애물 탐지부; 및 상기 장애물 탐지부에서 장애물을 탐지한 경우, 상기 장애물을 회피하도록 조준점(aiming point)을 생성하여 상기 무인기가 목표점을 향해 이동하는 내비게이션 모드에서 상기 조준점을 향하도록 하는 제1 충돌 회피 모드로 상기 동작 모드를 전환시키는 충돌 회피 처리부를 포함할 수 있다.
