The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for providing a smart valet parking service which can efficiently manage an overall valet parking service associated with entry and exit from the time when the entry of a vehicle is requested from a customer. According to the present invention, the method for providing a smart valet parking service comprises: a step of receiving an entry request signal including entry request information for a customer vehicle from a driver terminal; a step of responding to the entry request signal to provide an entry completion processing screen for the driver terminal; a step of receiving an entry completion signal including entry completion information inputted through the entry completion processing screen from the driver terminal, wherein the entry completion information includes an area code of one parking area in which the customer vehicle is parked among a plurality of parking areas in a parking lot; and a step of setting the parking area in which the customer vehicle is parked to an entry completion state.
