According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a selective viewing window installed on an object to distinguish the inside and the outside of the object. The selective viewing window comprises: a viewing window frame; a light-emitting module configured to emit light in a first light-emitting state and a second light-emitting state according to signals from the outside; and a selective transmission plate, on which light from the light-emitting module is incident, supported by the viewing window frame. The selective transmission plate has the quantity of light reduced to a first light transmission rate when the light is incident into the selective transmission plate from the outside of the object, and the quantity of light reduced to a second light transmission rate when the light is incident into the inside of the object from the selective transmission plate. The selective transmission plate has multiple light transmission rates, so that when light is incident from the inside of the object into the selective transmission plate, the quantity of light is reduced to the second light transmission rate, and when light travels towards the outside of the object from the selective transmission plate, the quantity of light is reduced to the first light transmission rate. Thus, the selective viewing window is configured such that the inside cannot be viewed visually from the outside in the first light-emitting state, and the inside can be viewed visually from the outside in the second light-emitting state.
