According to one embodiment of the present invention, a vertical takeoff and landing aircraft using a hybrid electric propulsion system and a control method thereof are possible to control a flight vehicle (1) so that power is provided to a motor (80) form a generator (20), an electricity managing device (40) and a battery managing system (60) at the same time when the flight vehicle (1) vertically takes off and lands and are possible to control the flight vehicle (1) so that thrust of a second propeller (820) is increased and remaining electricity generated in the generator (20) is charged in a batter (62) of the battery managing system (60) when the flight vehicle (1) cruise-flies or transition-flies.

    본 발명의 실시예에 따른 하이브리드 전기 추진시스템을 이용하는 수직이착륙 항공기 및 그 제어 방법은, 비행체(1)가 수직 이착륙할 때 발전기(20)와 전력 관리 장치(40)와 배터리 관리 시스템(60)으로부터 전원이 동시에 모터(80)에 제공하도록 제어할 수 있고, 상기 비행체(1)가 순항 비행 또는 천이 비행할 때 제2 프로펠러(82)의 추력을 증가시키고 상기 발전기(20)에서 생산된 여유 전력이 상기 배터리 관리 시스템(60)의 배터리(62)에 충전되도록 제어할 수 있다.
