The present invention relates to a composite strut bar for a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof. More specifically, the composite strut bar comprises: a strut bar body made of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and having a hollow part formed therein; a form material filled in the hollow part of the strut bar body; and a fabric layer stacked on the outer circumferential surface of the strut bar body to prevent cracking, breaking, and splitting of the CFRP forming the strut bar body. Accordingly, lightweight can be achieved while providing excellent basic properties, such as specific strength, rigidity, rupture strength, and the like, thereby remarkably increasing the performance and quality of the strut bar. Moreover, rigidity is reinforced by the form material filled in the hollow part for a composite to be formed with an optimized use amount of a relatively expensive CFRP, thereby increasing economic efficiency and functionality.

    본 발명은 차량용 복합재 스트럿바 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 탄소섬유강화수지(CFRP)로 이루어져 내부에 중공부가 형성된 스트럿바 본체와, 스트럿바 본체 내의 중공부에 충진되는 폼(form)재 및 스트럿바 본체 외주면에 적층되어 본체를 이루는 탄소섬유강화수지의 균열, 깨짐 또는 쪼개짐을 방지하는 패브릭층을 포함하는 복합소재 구성을 통해 차량용 스트럿바를 구성하여, 비강도, 비강성 및 파단강도 등의 기본적인 물성이 우수하면서도 경량화를 추구할 수 있어 스트럿바의 성능 및 품질을 비약적으로 향상시킬 수 있으며, 중공부에 충진되는 폼(form)재를 통해 강성을 보강하여 상대적으로 고가인 탄소섬유강화수지의 사용량을 최적화하여 복합재를 구성함으로써 경제성과 기능성을 향상시킨 차량용 복합재 스트럿바 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
